Xylene Resin (Nikanol)

NIKANOL is the trade name for xylene resins manufactured by Fudow Company Limited, our group company of MGC.

NIKANOL, a xylene resin, is m-xylene-based aromatic oligomer developed by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. It features excellent compatibility with various types of resins and works well for lowering the viscosity of such resins and improving their performance.


Principal uses

  • Y series: Paints and coatings, UV-curable adhesives
  • L series: Paints and coatings, acrylic adhesives, urethane adhesives, rubber compounds
  • G: Paints and coatings, friction material binders (phenolic resins)
  • HP series: Metallic inks, paints and coatings, urethane adhesives, acrylic adhesives
  • P series: Friction material binders, carbon binders, rubber reinforcing agents
  • PR series: Varnish for laminate boards, electrically conductive paints and coatings
